What This Workshop Is

Join us for a hands-on, educational workshop designed for high school student-athletes and their parents who want to better understand the opportunities and responsibilities that come with college athletics.

This session brings together Fair Play, The Gifted Collective’s NIL and media readiness training, and expert guidance from Magnolia Sports Promotions LLC on navigating the college choice and recruitment process.

Together, we’ll help families make informed, confident decisions — on and off the field.

Why This Matters

The landscape of college athletics is changing fast.

Student-athletes are now expected to:

  • Manage their personal brand and online presence

  • Understand NIL rules and opportunities

  • Navigate increased media exposure

  • Make one of the biggest educational and athletic decisions of their lives

Yet many families are left without clear, trustworthy guidance.

This workshop is designed to close that gap.

What You’ll Learn

Student-athletes and parents will leave with a clear understanding of:

  • What NIL is and what it is not

  • How personal branding impacts recruiting and future opportunities

  • Media literacy and social media best practices

  • Common mistakes athletes make online and how to avoid them

  • How to evaluate college options and make informed decisions

  • How parents can effectively support their athlete through the process

Who This Workshop Is For

  • High school student-athletes (all sports)

  • Parents and guardians of college-bound athletes

  • Families preparing for recruiting, signing days, or scholarship decisions

No prior NIL knowledge required.
